When the main shaft rotates, the intermediate slider is driven to move by friction. As the two sides of the intermediate slider are embedded in the grooves of the two half-couplings, when there is radial displacement of the two shafts, the slider slides in the grooves, thus compensating for the radial deviation between the two shafts and realizing the transmission of torque. Since the sliding friction resistance of the slider is small, the KE5 series cross-slider coupling has a high transmission efficiency.
KE5 series cross-slider coupling mainly consists of two half-couplings, intermediate slider and connecting bolts. The two half-couplings are connected to the two shafts that need to transmit power, while the intermediate slider is embedded in the grooves of the two half-couplings by means of a cam, which realizes the transmission of torque and the compensation of relative displacement.
Half coupling: usually made of high strength alloy steel or stainless steel, with high strength and good wear resistance.
Intermediate slider: made of wear-resistant materials, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or graphite, etc., with good sliding performance and wear resistance.
Connecting bolts: used to fasten the two half-couplings together to ensure the stability and reliability of the coupling.
