KE1 series plummer coupling consists of two half-couplings of the same shape and a plummer-shaped elastic pad. The elastic pad is usually made of elastic material such as rubber or polyurethane and is mounted between the two half-couplings to transmit power through the extrusion between the cam claw and the elastic pad.
the working principle
Transmission of power: When two half-couplings are connected to two shafts which need to transmit power respectively, the power will be transmitted from one shaft to the other through the close cooperation between the cam claw and the elastic pad.
Compensation of offset: Due to various factors in manufacturing, installation or operation, there may exist certain radial, angular and axial deviations between the two shafts. the elastic pads in KE1 series plum blossom couplings can undergo corresponding elastic deformations to compensate for these deviations, thus ensuring a smooth and reliable transmission.
Shock absorption and buffer: the elastic deformation of the elastic pad can also play the role of shock absorption and buffer, reduce the shock and vibration in the transmission process, protect the equipment and extend the service life.
